Steam Roller. Made by Cranko in the 1940s - 1950s. This old NZ toy may still work but has not been tested. It tuns over fine. It comes complete with its burner tray. This steam roller is 233mm long, 140mm wide & 187mm high. Only 1 available. This item is not suitable for children.

Donald Cranko's Engineering factory was in Havelock North, New Zealand in the mid 1940s a line of steam powered toys under the name Movie Models were produced along side General engineering . School pupils were employed, part time, to handle such tasks as toy painting, assembly etc. Production ceased in 1956 when Donald move to Kerikeri northland. The factory was leased to another firm but burnt down in 1959.
