Equipped with an air-cooled, 2-cylinder, 4-stroke, direct-injection diesel engine, the Eicher ED26 was one of the best sellers in the Eicher tractor range from 1956 to 1960. In 1951, Eicher had begun to produce farm machinery as well as tractors and the Eicher ED26 was advertised with the slogan that we still know today, "A safe bet for farmers; a single source for machines and tractors".
